About Andante Hotel

On the highest dune in Scheveningen, precisely between the pier and harbour and a stone’s throw from the beach, you will find the beautiful Andante Hotel. The perfect home base to discover Scheveningen and the Dutch coastal area. Andante Hotel is also situated on one of the well-known ANWB-bicycle routes and is well-connected to public transport. Hire a bike or ride the public transport and discover what more the surroundings have to offer and end your day in one of the lovely restaurants on the boulevard of Scheveningen or of course in our own cosy hotel bar.

Beautiful main building and authentic villa

Andante Hotel consists of two buildings: the main building with the cosy and lovely decorated Andante rooms which are perfect for a shorter stay and the authentic villa with spacious hotelrooms perfect for a longer stay. In the main building you will find the reception, lobby and our bar. From the top floor, you have a wonderful view on Scheveningen, the beach and of course the North Sea. The villa is built in neo-Renaissance style in 1886 and has the status of a listed building. This means that the authentic but steep stairways are preserved and that there is no elevator. Do you have trouble climbing stairs? Then please ask for a room on the ground floor so you can also enjoy the spacious rooms in the villa! Please note that there is not guarantee of a specific room or floor.

Public transport and bicycle routes

Hire a bike at Andante Hotel and discover the surroundings by riding one of the ANWB-bicycle routes. Or get on the bus or tram and discover what Secheveningen, Den Haag (The Hague) or other cities have to offer. The bus- and tramstop (called Badhuiskade) for tram line 1 and bus line 22 are just around the corner!

Beach towels

Andante Hotel is a stone’s throw away from the beach and that obviously means going to the beach on a sunny day! No room for a beach towel in your suitcase? No worries! You can rent one for € 5,- per day, excluding a € 5,- deposit.
